My Three Stars from the Lightning:

⭐ Mikey Eysseimont

Eysseimont was active in this game, scoring a goal on a second effort which was unfortunately taken off the board because of an offsides challenge. He also had good entrances into the offensive zone and finished with 6 shots on goal.

⭐⭐ Anthony Cirelli

Cirelli had the Lightning’s lone goal in the game, and finished the game +1 with 3 shots on goal. He also had a great pass which set up Kucherov on a breakaway behind the Av’s defense.

⭐⭐⭐ Victor Hedman

Hedman played 24 minutes and had an assist on the Cirelli goal. He also would have assisted on the Eyssimont goal that was called back.

Notes:

The Bolts play Colorado one more time this season, at home on Feb 15, 2024.

This was the first game for Ross Colton against his former team. Colton was traded to the Avs for the 37th overall pick (Ethan Gauthier) in this year’s draft, and signed a 4 year $16 million contract with Colorado. He has 7 goals in 21 games this season.

Jonathan Drouin, the 3rd overall pick in the 2013 draft for Tampa Bay, also played for the Avs against his former team. Drouin was part of the trade that brough Mikhail Sergachev to the Bolts.
