The Bolt’s first selection from this year’s NHL draft, Ethan Gauthier has signed a 3-year entry level contract with the team. The deal carries a cap hit of $950,000 and an overall value of $2.85 million. Born in Phoenix Arizona, Gauthier is listed at 6’0 and 183 pounds and is a right-winger currently playing for the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the QMJHL. He is the son of Denis Gauthier, who skated in 554 NHL games over 10 years.

Gauthier was selected with the 37th overall pick in this year’s draft, a pick that was acquired from the Ross Colton trade. Drafted in the second round, he was the Bolt’s first selection as their first-round pick was traded away in the Brandon Hagel deal.
